In this moving and beautifully realized short film, Corporal Robert Riley is a Tommy sniper in the trenches of France during “The War to End All Wars.” For every German soldier he kills, he ventures into No Man’s Land to collect a wildflower as a memorial to an enemy he never knew. As a nighttime firefight advances, he ventures out one more time to undertake his ritual harvest.
