Shadow Ball
Director: Ruben Grijalva

(Filmmaker in person)

In his attempt to put some distance between himself and his brutish father, Patrick stumbles upon a marvelous game of exhibition baseball where everything is real except the ball. Shadow Ball feels real as it evokes a time when little boys could hardly wait until they were allowed to wear their first pair of long pants and African American players were forced to wait until they were allowed to play on integrated teams.
